LISTEN TO REVERENCE

I wrote and first recorded this in 2010. It is a simple tune but has always been one of my personal favorites. After getting upgraded equipment that converts the live trombone sound into a digital file, I wanted to re-record the trombone part in order to get a better sound.

The trombone part originally was improvised and this melody came from the first take. So when I re-recorded it, I wanted to keep as close as possible to the original while still sounding fresh.

It’s not meant to be a religious piece, but rather an expression of gratitude for all the great things life has to offer.
