The sixth question I am being asked for the book research mentioned in an earlier post is:
If there were no constraints, what would your ultimate dream be with music?
Love this question. If I had total financial freedom to do whatever I wanted, I would build a dedicated main studio with the acoustic perfections I currently lack. I would create multiple versions of my Phoenix, AZ studio that I would put in northern AZ in a house high in the mountains and somewhere in the Caribbean. I would write music full time instead of my spare time as I do now. Funny that maybe there is not a dramatic difference in my current motivation and process of creating my music. I would probably still do what I have recently begun, which is to write and record for free distribution – with even less motivation to sell my recordings.
I would do more traveling in order to listen to more concerts and I would hire people I can’t afford now to play for my recordings. I would hire people to teach me things like mixing, mastering and synth programming. I am a learning junkie, so I’d love to spend my days learning from top people in the areas in which I need improvement.
Ultimately, my dream is to build a massive following that inspires me to write and perform.
